Carrie Souvenir > First Investors Registered RepresentativeAs a teenager, I worked as a forklift operator for my dad's business. Even though I didn't enjoy the physical labor, I learned from my father that working hard has its rewards. He is a mason and had his own business for 25 years. He provided a very nice life for our family, and as I worked those long days at construction sites, I hoped that one day I would be able to do the same for my family. After I graduated from the University of Portland, my main goals were to help people, and to develop a career in sales. I was able to accomplish both of my goals at First Investors. When I joined the Company, Dennis Snoozy was my mentor. With his advice and guidance, I qualified for both the FIL and FIC Conventions in my first year. He always knew how to motivate me. All he had to say was that he believed in me. I learned a lot during those early years. I realized that everyone has ups and downs in this business. We just have to make sure that the "downs" only last a short time. I believe that attitude is everything. Having a positive attitude can make the difference between success and failure. In my years with the Company, I have been fortunate to accomplish the two goals I had established for myself. Through my work at First Investors, I've been able to help my friends and clients lead financially secure lives. And in doing so, I have continued to develop my talents as a sales representative. It has been such a treat to be part of the great Beaverton office. The best aspect of the office is that we respect each other and enjoy each other's company. Everyday I go to work with a smile on my face because I am part of a unique group of people. |
